Donations
Fundraising ActivitiesBrisbane Concert Choir is a community choir based in the heart of Brisbane. Our members are drawn from a wide
cross-section of the community, aged from 18 to 60+. We perform works by Australian composers, as well as many
others from around the world.
The choir is normally totally self-funding, relying on community support of our concerts and other activities, together
with membership fees, to pay our way.
For the first time, the Choir has been invited to perform at Choral Festivals in Prague and Vienna in November
and December 2008. This is an exciting opportunity for us, and a great chance for us to show that Australians can excel
at more than just sport. :-) We look forward to acting as cultural ambassadors for Brisbane, Queensland and Australia.
However, this poses a significant financial challenge for us as a choir. We have quite a few members who can
and will self-fund, but we also have a significant number of students (one of whom is blind) and others for whom finding
all of the required $6000 per person is an impossible task in the time available. Without these younger voices our choir
will not sound, look or feel the same.
We have set ourselves the task of raising the total of $20,000 so that everyone can go, and so that the Choir can
make the best sound possible. We have exciting plans for a number of major events to get us on our way, including a
Trivia Night, a Soiree under the stars, Movie Nights, and many more, plus sales of chocolates, designer soaps,
discount Entertainment Books ... If you would like to be involved in any or all of these, or you have any other bright

We are also seeking donations, large and small, from anyone who likes to support the arts. For personal
donations, we are happy to feature your name and country on our website for donations of any amount from $5 upwards.
But you need to email us and tell us who you are. You may of course remain anonymous if you wish.
For larger personal and corporate donations,
we
are happy to feature your name and/or
corporate logo in our
concert and tour programmes as well as on our website. Talk to us about
what we can do for you - singing at corporate
events, feature your logo on our tour vests, we are open to suggestions
...

suggested levels of giving are:
