Alexander Dixon Alex Dixon is the Director of Music at West Moreton Anglican College, where he teaches classroom music to students in years 7 to 12. In this role, Alex has managed and organized many music related events and tours for the school and local community – including choral festivals, music tours, camps, concert performances and competitions. In 1996 and 2003 he was nominated for the ASG National ‘Excellence in Teaching’ Award for his contribution towards music in education. In addition to his teaching and administrative roles, Alex has been actively involved in vocal performance both as a soloist and as a chorister. He has been a member of the Queensland Conservatorium Chamber Singers, the Australian Voices Youth Choir (now called The Australian Voices), Brisbane Chamber Choir and the Lucian Singers. Alex
is currently studying a Masters Degree in Music Studies, majoring in
Choral Conducting, at the Queensland Conservatorium with Emily Cox,
Graeme Morton and Peter Roenfeldt. |
