Join us for ANCA's Big Sing 2020 under the expert guidance of Dr Debra Shearer Dirié.
This biennial event is a series of choral workshops, held over three days, where all participants learn to sing together in harmony under the directorship of a trained and professional conductor.
This year, Big Sing will be proudly hosted by Brisbane Concert Choir and we are pleased to be under the accomplished direction of Dr Debra Shearer Dirié, Musical Director of Brisbane Concert Choir. Debra has selected a number of exciting works for the weekend, including:
Within the circles of our lives by Giselle Wyers.
Weep no more by David N Childs.
Skip to My Lou arranged by Rachel Stenson.
Cloths of Heaven by Mark Sirett.
Bell-Birds by Will Brown
The weekend event culminates in a public concert on Sunday afternoon, where we will be performing these choral works.
You may register for the event even if you are not a member of a choir or singing group. We welcome individual participants and would love to have you join us for this magical weekend. Your registration includes:
participation in the rehearsals and concert
a sheet music pack containing the works that we will rehearse and perform
lunch, morning and afternoon tea on Saturday and Sunday
If you would like to take part in this event, please download and complete the registration form on this page and then e-mail or post it to us using one of the addresses on the form.
