Brisbane Concert Choir is funded substantially by annual membership subscriptions from its singers, topped up by income from its concert and contract performances. It is a registered charity built out of an incorporated association of volunteers administered by an elected management committee
We greatly appreciate the support of those who attend our concerts, as well as those who engage us for commercial or private events. Any and all support is greatly valued and anyone with ideas for helping is invited to contact our chairman or Director of Music.
A less obvious line of support is through the purchase of music. If seeking sheet music - vocal and instrumental - we encourage you to do so through sheetmusicplus an online store with over 1,000,000 titles. Using this link from this website, provides us with a small but beneficial commission.
The Choir acknowledges the support of St Andrew's Uniting Church, Ann St, Brisbane, which since 1996 has allowed the use of its beautiful heritage building for rehearsals and performances. We also acknowledge Gary Fredericks for the design of the choir logo.
In 2020 Daisho Group allowed the choir to rehearse in the open and breezy arcade at its 180 Brisbane building which runs from 180 Ann Street through to Turbot Street. The Choir greatly appreciates this support, especially during the first two years of the pandemic when rehearsing in confined indoor spaces was seriously problematic.
Central Plaza on the corner of Queen and Creek Streets in Brisbane's CBD also provides very valuable help in promoting our concerts via postings on its electronic screens in the ground floor foyer and in all lifts which service its corporate tower.
